Who is eligible to refer others through this program?
Any BRAIN consultant.
How do I refer?
If you are a BRAIN research consultant/service provider, the Referee must include your exact WorldQuant BRAIN user ID in the corresponding field during the account creation process on the BRAIN platform, when he/she registers as a user on the BRAIN platform.
Is there a time limit for anyone I refer to create a BRAIN account so that I am eligible for a payment?
No.
A friend has referred me, when will I get the referral payment?
For referring you, your friend may be eligible for a referral payment. You, too, can refer your friends and potentially earn a referral payment once you are fully approved as a research consultant or service provider.
My friend forgot to enter me as referrer. What do I do now?
Unfortunately, WorldQuant will not address any errors or mistakes, so you would be unable to earn a referral payment in this case.
I want to sign up on BRAIN platform. Are there any other benefits?
Any referral payment that you successfully earn subject to all of the stated criteria, shall be paid out in connection with your periodic base payments to your verified bank account on file.
I have shared information about Websim/BRAIN platform in the past, can I refer retrospectively?
The referral program is not applicable to referrals made prior to 13 July 2022.
What can I expect to receive if I successfully refer more than 25 users?
There are no multipliers or additional amounts paid in connection with meeting certain referral thresholds or milestones. Any referral payment will equal $100 for each referral.
Can I earn referral fee if I refer my friend to a competition on BRAIN?
Yes, so long as your friend is a new user on the BRAIN platform and includes your exact BRAIN user ID upon registering for an account on the BRAIN platform, among other required criteria.
I referred my friend for the consultant role but their application was rejected. Will I still receive a referral fee?
No, in a case where you refer a person who does not successfully become a BRAIN research consultant, the criteria necessary to become eligible for a referral payment have not been met and you would not receive any amount in such a case. There are multiple reasons why someone does not become a research consultant, including without limitation, where that person may have violated the BRAIN platform’s terms and conditions or the user agreement. As a reminder, note that any sharing of actual code is not permitted under the BRAIN platform’s Terms and Conditions and User Agreement.
As a BRAIN research consultant, will my earlier referrals allow me to earn a referral payment based on the old referral criteria or the new referral criteria?
